Grass Fed Beef in Atlanta Georgia

Our Commitment

We are committed to working with nature’s time table.  Without growth hormones, the animals grow slower, and produce leaner, denser meat with a deeper beef flavor.  These beeves have been kept healthy on a diet of grass and hay supplemented with custom mixed minerals, and grass fed from birth to harvest without antibiotics and growth hormones. It is our commitment to treat the beeves humanely, in a stress free environment (no cattle prods, no yelling voices, and no dogs), our animals are gentle, approachable and easy to manage.

Records for Angus cattle can be found dating as early as the 16th century in Scotland.  During the 1800’s Argentina, Australia, Canada, and the United States imported bulls from Scotland and the British Isles to begin herds. These smaller, hardy, self-sufficient animals had proven their genetics and were imported to improve cattle genetics in other countries.

The commercialization of beef cattle changed a lot about the breed – its size, a diet to include corn, feedlots, antibiotics and growth hormones were the tools of faster and greater profit at the expense of human health and a balanced eco-system.  In our closed herd (a herd consisting of animals born and raised on property) we attempt to reflect the size and diet of the original Angus by breeding for smaller cattle raised on pasture from birth to harvest without antibiotics and growth hormones.  The result has been the perfect size cattle for a family to stock the freezer with quality beef. Smaller animals yield smaller cuts….the perfect “one serving” size!  Harvested between 24 and 30 months, healthier beef commands a longer growth cycle and a greater investment.
